Adoption Fees for Chesterfield Valley Center
Depending upon individual circumstances, adoption fees may vary.

Dogs
six months of age and older and over 35 lbs. are $135, which includes:

- First DHPP vaccination
(Distemper/Hepatitis/ Parainfluenza/Parvovirus).
Booster shots are required and are adopter's financial
responsibility.
- Rabies registration
- First Bordetella vaccination
- First deworming (Follow-up fecal exam recommended)
- Heartworm test (for dogs older than six months of age)
- Initial flea treatment
- Spay or neuter surgery
- Avid microchip with national registration
- Ear cleaning and nail trim
- Temporary collar, tag and leash
- Paw Partner membership
- Shelter, food and loving care from the Humane Society of Missouri

Desirable breeds* and puppies younger than six months are $285, which includes:

- Spay or neuter surgery
- Temporary collar, tag and cardboard carrier
- Avid microchip with national registration

- Shelter, food and loving care from the Humane Society of Missouri

Since rabbits and other critters like to chew cardboard, please don't rely on our temporary cardboard carriers to transport your new furry friend home. If you own a carrier or cage, please bring it with you. Plastic carriers are available for purchase at our St. Louis City Gift Shop.
