Director, Animal Cruelty Team

Are you committed to helping abused and neglected animals? We are seeking an experienced animal welfare manager to direct and lead our Animal Cruelty Task Force in investigating animal cruelty, and responding to animals affected by natural disasters. Responsibilities include working with government and law enforcement representatives to enforce animal welfare laws; directing task force operations and maintaining a positive, professional relationship with media personnel. Qualifications: 4 yr. degree and 5-7 years of relevant experience, including supervisory experience. Animal handling skills, computer proficiency, budget management skills and media experience are also required. Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must.

We have an immediate opportunity for an Animal Cruelty Investigator, formerly called, Humane Officer. This position plays an integral role in interacting with the public using a strong customer service orientation. Will also monitor and coordinate activities of the Adoption Center including supervising, training and assisting staff; monitoring daily work schedules; ensuring the quality control of all operations: adoptions, health, sanitation, etc. Meets and talks with the public. The Adoption Center is seeking an individual with excellent customer service skills to operate the receiving desk to receive animals and provide information to customers. Must at all times maintain a positive and professional public image. Will operate computer and complete forms related to the receiving, holding, adoption, disposition and medical treatment of all animal transactions. Handles payments, cleans reception areas, provides food, water, and bedding to all animals received, and replenishes all supplies in use at Adoption Center desk. Excellent customer service skills, computer literacy, animal handling experience required.
Veterinary Technician, Licensed
The Humane Society of Missouri is currently seeking a licensed Veterinary Technician to work at our AAHA certified Veterinary Medical Centers. This position maintains animal health programs including treatment of sick and injured animals as directed by our veterinarians. This position requires a veterinary technician graduate with a current state license. Applicants must possess organizational skills, have effective communication skills and be computer literate.
