Hurricane Katrina
Welcome to the Emergency Foster Pet Clearinghouse
In an effort for pets evacuated from the hurricane zone to remain safe while their owners stay in temporary housing in the St. Louis area, the Humane Society of Missouri has set up an Emergency Foster Pet Clearinghouse.
The goal of the Emergency Foster Pet Clearinghouse is to provide temporary boarding for the pets of hurricane-affected pet owners with caregivers in the St. Louis area who can provide temporary animal care, including food, water, shelter and any required medical care at the caregivers’ expense.
If you have been affected by the hurricane and require foster care for your own pets, please understand that the Humane Society of Missouri makes no claims about the suitability of the foster homes. Please read this important information.
