Frequently Asked Behavior Questions
Do you need assistance with your pet's behavior? Please review the packets and handouts below for up-to-date information about a variety of behavior challenges.
If you feel that a personal consultation is necessary, we offer 30 minute private counseling appointments with experienced members of our behavior department staff at the Macklind and Chesterfield Valley locations. The cost for one of these sessions is $40 and includes handouts and a follow-up phone call. To schedule an appointment time contact us by phone at (314) 951-1540 or e-mail our behavior department.
Important note: All owners will recieve a pre-counseling questionnaire they must complete and return before their appointment. Also, after reviewing the questionnaire, we may contact you for additional details.
In the event of a problem that we are unable to address, you will be referred to a qualified veterinary behaviorist.
The packets below contain detailed information that relates to behavior problems. There are also some individual handouts. Please click on any link below to view each packet. You can print out only the pages you are interested in or the entire packet of information. (Some packets are rather long so it may take a few seconds to load). We always recommend checking with your veterinarian first before dealing with any behavior problem.
