Training Your Human:
Classes for Pooches & People
When it comes to obedience, training the human is the most important part. Your dog looks to you for guidance and instruction.

Obedience training teaches you how to communicate with your dog, establishing the groundwork for a solid, long-lasting relationship between you and your best friend.

Need more information? E-mail the Obedience Department or call our training line at (314) 802-5709.

About Our Classes: Obedience classes are offered through a partnership between the Humane Society of Missouri and the Greater St. Louis Training Club. Learn more about this unique partnership HERE!

All classes are available at our St. Louis headquarters. Class schedules depend on an adequate number of registrants. We reserve the right to cancel a class due to a lack of registrants.

GREAT NEWS!
Obedience Classes have come to Chesterfield Valley!

We understand how difficult it is for dog owners to drive into our city location for obedience classes now that the I-64/Hwy 40 construction is has begun. So - we are bringing the training classes to the county!

Training the human is the most important part!

The Humane Society of Missouri proudly to announces that training and behavior classes are now offered in Chesterfield Valley. These are the same type of classes currently at the Macklind Avenue Headquarters, but they are instead held in our newly built training facility at the Humane Society of Missouri in Chesterfield Valley.

Please check the Chesterfield Valley section of the obedience web site for more specific information.

Private Lessons:
We currently offer private lessons for owners of dogs with behavior problems that don't want to or are unable to attend a group class. Knowledgeable instructors offer private training tailored to meet your specific needs. Lessons can be arranged around your schedule and are held at the Macklind or Chesterfield Valley facilities. Call (314) 802-5709 or e-mail the Obedience Department for information.

Behavior Helpline:
Do you need some "pet parenting" advice? Our trained volunteers can give advice to help you introduce your new dog to your resident dog, solve your cat's litterbox problems and tackle other issues. Contact the Behavior Helpline at (314) 951-1540, e-mail your question to our behavior department or visit our Behavior Helpline section.

Operation Pet Partners Adoption Discount
