Healthcare for Your Cat

Whether your cat was adopted from the Humane Society of Missouri or came from someplace else, he or she will need a health examination and to be vaccinated. Below are services we offer for your cat's health.

  • Wellness exams and preventative medicine, including Feline Leukemia vaccinations, and flea, tick and ear mite products
  • Microchipping - a permanent form of ID for your cat (Please keep your cat indoors, protected from cars, dogs and inhumane people. Cats should always wear a collar with two phone numbers on the ID tag.)
  • Treatment and advice for behavior problems including improperly using the litterbox
  • Declaw surgery (strictly for cats who stay indoors at all times)
  • Dental cleanings and extractions, because owners often overlook the care of their cat's teeth, leading to discomfort, decay and infection. Clean teeth are important to everybody!
  • Diagnostic tests such as x-rays, ultrasounds and endoscopies to see any problems that might be occurring inside your pet, such as broken bones and tumors
  • In-house laboratory tests including urinalysis to check for bladder infections, fecal analysis to check for worms, and blood profiles to diagnose diabetes, liver or kidney disease
  • Surgeries to repair wounds or to remove tumors or foreign bodies
  • Orthopedic procedures for fractured bones
  • Medical treatments for illnesses such as upper respiratory infection, skin diseases, eye/ear diseases, heart and kidney diseases, and diabetes

Vaccinations, Treatment and Surgery Schedule

When you visit the veterinarian, please bring:
