Meet the Post-Dispatch Pets of the Week!

Hendrix-A683904

Hi, my name is Hendrix and my ID Number is A683904!

One-year-old red tabby, Hendrix, is ready to rock out with some new human friends. Like his musician namesake, this handsome boy has tons of personality and presence that is all wrapped up in a stylish red coat. Hendrix loves staying active by chasing wand toys or rocking and rolling on the floor with his favorite crinkle ball. Hendrix can’t wait to tour the world with his most favorite fan in tow – YOU!

To adopt, apply in person at HSMO’s Best Buddy Pet Center in Maryland Heights. Click here for hours and directions.

Buzz-A677867

Hi, my name is Buzz and my ID Number is A677867!

Ten-month-old potbellied pig, Buzz, came to Longmeadow Rescue Ranch with two other pigs. When he first arrived, staff and volunteers discovered that Buzz was rarely handled by people. However, from day one, Buzz has always been the most outgoing from his group and is more and more trusting each day. He will do best in his new home if given time to come out of his shell so patience is a must. Although he is small now, he will mature around 100lbs or more! At this time, Buzz is not litterbox or harness trained but as he is still rather young, he should be able to learn quickly. When it comes to his health, Buzz is up to date on his vaccines, deworming treatment, and hoof trims. Please check with your local ordinances to ensure owning a domestic pig is allowed in your area. Last weekend, Buzz’s stall companion found a forever home so he is hoping to find his happily ever after soon!

To adopt, apply in person at HSMO’s Longmeadow Rescue Ranch in Union, MO. Visit longmeadowrescueranch.org for hours, directions, and more information.

Faith-A684652

Hi, my name is Faith and my ID Number is A684652!

Hoping to find her forever home in St. Louis, one-year-old Beagle mix, Faith, came to HSMO from a partner shelter in Louisiana. One of the cutest things about her is that when she is happy, her entire body wags! She also may also try to sneak a kiss or two from her human friends. Faith would love an active home with a family who will include her on in all of their adventures for years to come!

To adopt, apply in person at HSMO’s Macklind Avenue headquarters in St. Louis City. Click here for hours and directions.
