Meet the Post-Dispatch Pets of the Week!

Gunther-A679165

Hi, my name is Gunther and my ID Number is A679165!

Gunther is a ten-month-old black and white Queensland Heeler mix who is looking for a partner to play fetch! Gunther is full of fun, playful puppy energy, and would love an active home with a family who will take him along on all their fun adventures. As he is still a puppy, this very good boy needs a little guidance when it comes to housetraining and obedience. If you’re looking for a jogging or hiking partner, or if you’d like to simply hang out in the yard for a high-flying game of fetch, Gunther would love to be your forever friend

To adopt, apply in person at HSMO’s Macklind Ave. headquarters in St. Louis City. Click here for hours and directions.

Skittles-A679747

Hi, my name is Skittles and my ID Number is A679747!

Come and taste the rainbow with twelve-year-old, Skittles. Although he PURRfers the quiet life, Skittles gets along great with kids and other four-legged friends. Skittles is hoping to find a new family who will pet his oh-so soft and shiny orange and white fur. All through November, Skittle’s adoption fee is waived to celebrate “Adopt a Senior Pet” month!

To adopt, apply in person at HSMO’s Best Buddy Pet Center in Maryland Heights. Click here for hours and directions.

Puzzle-A679790

Hi, my name is Puzzle and my ID Number is A679790!

Two-year-old Puzzle is a Pointer mix who came to HSMO from a partner shelter in Louisiana, hoping to find his missing piece and fit in with a family in St. Louis. Although he is no longer puppy-sized, Puzzle would love his new human friends to help him with housetraining, obedience and all the other skills he needs to grow into a very good boy. At first, he can be a little intense, active and disorganized. However, he is extremely friendly and social even though he appears to not have had much experience with people.  When it comes to toys, Puzzle knows how to fetch, but needs to continue working on building his self-control and basic training skills. With a little positive reinforcement training and patience, it won’t take long for you and him to fit together like missing puzzle pieces.

To adopt, apply in person at HSMO’s Macklind Ave. headquarters in St. Louis City. Click here for hours and directions.

Hi, my name is Ramses and my ID Number is A646266!

Two-year-old Ramses, is a smart and social guy who is looking for a home that provides plenty of physical and mental endurance. This confident and cheerful chap would be best suited with experienced owners who can provide clear commands, especially during playtime as he can get a little over-excited. Ramses is a fun-loving pup in a big-boy body, so he may be too much for young children at this time. With a little basic positive reinforcement training and enrichment activities, Ramses will easily grow into a very good boy for years to come.
