Doc’s Story – HSMO 2020 Second Chances Telethon

March 12, 2020

Doc came to HSMO as a stray with an injured and infected tail. The infection was so severe it required an amputation and Doc had an extended stay at the shelter while he recovered. Doc benefited from our wonderful feline enrichment program and received lots of TLC while he healed. This one-on-one time spent with volunteers reduces stress and is just one of the many ways we care for animals in our shelter. Today, Doc is enjoying life in a loving forever home and he comes back to visit sometimes for checkups at the Animal Medical Center of Mid-America!

You make it possible to provide life-saving medical care and enrichment activities for animals in need so they can heal and find forever homes. Thank you for supporting HSMO so we can continue to provide excellent care for animals like Doc.

This story is part of the Humane Society of Missouri’s 2020 Second Chances Telethon. Visit hsmo.org/telethon for more info on how you can help animals like Doc!
