HSMO Hosts K-12 Poster Contest to Celebrate “Be Kind to Animals” Week

In honor of Be Kind to Animals Week (May 3-7, 2021), the Humane Society of Missouri invites children K-12 to enter our Be Kind to All Animals Poster Contest.

Contest Rules:

  • Poster must be on 8.5 x 11 piece of paper (horizontal or vertical).
  • Contestants may only submit one entry.
  • Contestants may use markers, paint, colored pencils, or crayons.
  • No traced or computer-generated work.
  • Entries will be judged based upon creativity, neatness, and relevance to the theme “Be Kind to ALL Animals.”
  • Once submitted, all entries become property of HSMO.

Deadline for submission is Friday, April 30th. Entries may be dropped off at HSMO’s 1201 Macklind Avenue location. Alternatively, a color-scan or high-quality photo of the poster can be emailed to: [email protected]

The posters will be judged by HSMO staff and volunteers and 5 winners will be chosen from the grade levels below.

Grades: K-1, 2-3, 4-5, 6-8, 9-12

The winners from each grade level will be announced on social media, featured on our website and receive a $50 HSMO gift card to our online store featuring tons of fun items for people and pets!
