Vote for Drac in Bar K’s Rescue Madness!

Bar K Rescue Madness is an online tournament to raise awareness for animal rescue in St. Louis. Sixteen local rescues have each selected one incredible ADOPTABLE all-star to compete for your vote! Winning dogs will move onto the next round, The Final Fur, and eventually, the Tournament Championship, which will be held as an online event on Sunday, April 10. Teams who make it to the Final Fur will each receive a $100 Gift Card to Bar K! In addition, Tournament Sponsor Tito’s Handmade Vodka is making a special $500 cash donation to all participating rescues.

HSMO’s Drac is up in the first round! He’s a 2-year-old Mastiff mix who came to HSMO in early January. Drac is currently in our foster-to-adopt program because he is being treated for heartworms. Because the treatment can take a few months, Drac is able to continue his treatment in a forever home, rather than stay in the shelter. Once his treatment is over, we can finalize the adoption, making him a permanent member of your family! Drac is housebroken and great with kids, but can get nervous around cats and other dogs. At this time, we would recommend he be the only dog in the house.
